Disappointing for the money.

This site used to be one of our favourites under the previous ownership. It was a no frills, very basic site but good value with great views and a good location. Since the new owner has taken over it still has the views and the basic facilities but the price has gone up. Overall the site is starting to feel neglected. The approach track is through two gates and is very tight in places. It's ok but I wouldn't want to do it with an 8' wide van. It's made worse because you have to avoid some potentially damaging potholes. The pitches are well spaced hard standing but are very narrow and the grass/mud is starting to encroach on to them. Fine in summer, but very muddy in winter. There is no re-cycling, just a small domestic bin on the other side of the entrance gate. The chemical disposal point is fine but is of the "you get to stare at everyone else's sewage" variety. The water pressure is low. None of this is a problem for us at the right price and and you can see from one of the reviews below that in June 2021 it was advertised as £13.50 per night when in reality it was £15. It is now advertised as £15 but when the owner visited to take our money (he doesn't live at the site) he had put the tariff up to £17.50. This was never mentioned when we made the booking! When you are on holiday you don't want an argument so we just paid up but it doesn't seem right. We understand that energy prices are increasing and tarrifs will increase but all we ask is that we know, up front, what the price is! For this reason I wouldn't recommend the site and if you do book, check how much it is and get it in writing.
