A lovely site

A lovely site and owners. We used it for the first time as a stop over for the tunnel but would use it again to tour this area. Transport would be essential. Use what three words or the watercress farm on Apple Maps. Minimal mobile signal but sometimes that’s needed😀.

A very lovely site

We arrived and were greeted in a lovely manner. The site is spacious and very well laid out. Only there for a night and were suitably inpressed. All facilities were located nicely, clean and easy to use. Frankly excellent value for money and will have no quarm about visiting again.

Neighbouring dogs a problem otherwise perfect

Beautiful site in a beautiful location. Quite a fast road as mentioned in other comments but this didn’t impact our stay. Unfortunately noisy dogs from a neighbouring property did. There is barking and whining on and off through the day and worse at night which sadly would stop us going back. I feel bad saying this as it’s out of the owners control and other than this everything was perfect.

Watercress Farm Pluckley

Penny and Tony are superb! They always ensure that it is beautifully maintained with lawns always mowed and lots of tree plantings! There are plenty of water taps plus rubbish and black water service point….. and all very well maintained. They are fabulous hosts, know lots about the area and are very friendly and welcoming! We have been coming to this CL site since 2017 and think it is one of the best CL sites……..also great access on to site with double wide gates and large gravel pitches with lots of room and privacy. Top place and very nice owners who clearly take pride in their site! Big Thanks! John and Maree

A lovely site and well worth a visit.

We seem to keep finding wonderful sites to go an stay at, and this is no exception. Here for 4 weeks and loved it. Penny and Tony were away when we arrived but as we had been in contact via whatsapp, it was easy for them to let us know what pitch they wanted us on. There's lots of space between the pitches, and the pitches (all hardstanding) are a decent size. Water and waste are all nicely placed and easy to access. The site is well maintained, and regularly mowed. There is an area to the road side of the site that has been set aside as a wild area. There are a couple of downsides to the site, but I have still given the site 5 stars. One is that the adjacent property has dogs and they can bark and carry on late at night, but we were not disturbed by them. The other is the blind entrance/exit. Both of these are really outside the control of the owners, but the entrance/exit do need care when leaving the site. A point to note about the entrance/exit is that the gate is set well back from the road so you can turn in and clear the gate without being partially on the road. For our time at the site we were out everyday visiting local attractions and the local picturesque villages. Not bad for a four week stay.

Amazing Coronation Celebrations

We have been to the site before with my Twin Sister and Husband. (See review from Lynn and Ian below). Tony and Penny are so friendly and are very welcoming, but give you space during your visit. It was so much fun, 5 MH's, 11 adults, 1 dog. Bunting, bubbles, beer and banquets. We even got a mention on radio2 Gary Davis. The site is lovely and spacious and plenty of walks and running routes are around. The Rose and Crown pub is under a mile away. Tony and Penny take pride in the site and it shows. All hard standing and in good order. We will be back. Great memories made. Thank you. Sandra & Rick

An amazing Coronation weekend celebration

We have had the pleasure of staying at Watercress farm a number of times over the years - Penny and Tony always make us feel welcome. The site is spacious and extremely well kept. The pitches are all hard standing and are all well spaced out. We wanted to do something special to celebrate the Coronation with a few Friends who also have motorhomes. 5 vans 11 people - wow what a great weekend we had and it was even sunny enough on Sunday to eat our roast dinner outside. We live fairly local but it feels miles away - plenty of walking and running routes and then having the pub just up the road makes it all worth while. This will not be our last visit - my only concern is that others will now discover this delightful gem within the Kent countryside 😊 Many thanks for another great weekend Lynn and Ian.

Very noisy dogs in rear neighbouring property

Visually and layout-wise this is a nice CL site with plenty of space and easy access. But I’ve marked it down due to very noisy dogs in the neighbouring rear property. There are around 4 dogs, whose owner is quite happy for them to roam free over their land and bark constantly all times of the day. Everyday, and mostly for hours at a time, the dogs would bark, even right through the night making sleep impossible without wearing noise reduction iPods. Our travelling companions complained to the owners, who were completely impotent to stop the barking. We were there for 6 out of 7 nights and we were asked to pay for our stay before arrival? Make what you will from that? We couldn’t leave earlier as we had business in the area. So, if you like a CL site with a nice layout and appearance, with the added bonus of very noisy dogs constantly barking right behind your caravan/Motorhome at all times of the day, then this is the site for you! We will not be returning.

Comment from the CL Owner:

We appreciate you spending six nights with us.Feedback is always welcome. We are sorry that on one night you heard dogs barking and that it affected your enjoyment of our site.As all our previous reviews show, this occurence is highly unusual and hasnt occured in the previous 7 years.

The dogs belong to our neighbour, so when you told us about the problems, we went right over to see them. They explained that a fox had tried to attack their chickens, which triggered the dogs.Their working dogs are kept in pens, some of which were moved farther away after our visit, and they are not allowed to roam free. Since our home is closer to our neighbours than the CL,we are aware of any noises before they reach the CL.

I did try to communicate this information to you,but it was challenging because you appeared to be out when I called around.

No matter how long the stay is, we request that any unpaid balance is paid in full upon arrival, as is the norm for most CL sites.

Life doesn't get better than this gem of a site.

We have been going to Penny and Tony's site for over 2 years now and we keep going back. Tony and Penny are fab hosts and make us feel welcome every time. The site has a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space between each of the allocated hardstanding pitches. The wild flower meadow, shrubs and trees are a haven for wild life and create a sense of peace for the whole site. The local pubs are a welcome treat and are within walking/ cycling distance. There are plenty of dog walking places nearby - both open spaces and woodlands. There is even a dog path around the flower meadow on site. If you want a relaxing space - this is the place to go.
