Lovely well kept CL

Jill was an absolute delight - very welcoming and always available for a chat and local information. Wildlife on the very well-kept site site was very interesting (rabbits, hare, partridges, horses, etc.) and watching the myriad bird feeders was a revelation. Although the road is quite close it isn't very busy and doesn't intrude on the peace of the site at all. Very pleasant stay and hope to be back again next year.

Lovely "get away from it all" quiet site

Decided to have a short 5 night break in early May at this site and it did not disappoint. Easy to find and close to seaside places of note such as Sutton-on-Sea, Mablethorpe, Moggs Eye, Anderby Creek and Chapel St. Leonards. Alford itself is a quiet town with a few shops and a decent CO-OP. Fortunately the weather was kind to us so we enjoyed sitting out, looking over the site and watching the horses play in the field opposite. Jill has a Shetland pony and a donkey who are both lovely animals. Jill herself was very welcoming and we enjoyed our chats together. We would certainly recommend a stay here. Many thanks Jill for such a beautiful site.

October Retreat

We have just returned from a week at this beautiful site. The welcome from Jill was really lovely. The site peaceful, lovely surroundings with a Rainbow the donkey and Fudge shetland pony to keep us company. A lovely large field with lots of space between pitches and sunshine from dawn until dusk. Within walking distance of Alford with lots of interesting shops and a market square. We could not recommend this CL more highly.

Lovely site

I can't imagine why this delightful CL has only one review; other than perhaps its visitors want to keep the place to themselves! Close to the bustling town of Alford, the CL is in a small, well-kept paddock, with level ground and easy access. The pitching area is surrounded by other paddocks and fields, with horses, ponies and a donkey. A large number of feeders attract birds in abundance, including the biggest pheasant I have ever seen! It is just off a country road which attracts some - and often quite fast - traffic, so it is not always absolutely quiet, but it certainly never bothered us. Site facilities are as you would expect from a CL; electricity is excellent. A strong 4g signal can be obtained inside the van on Vodafone, less so on EE. Jill is very welcoming and made us feel at home. Very much looking forward to a return visit.

Well organised CL

This is a charming CL, flat and well kept. The owners were welcoming - Jill and Nev Brown entertained us with a co-ordinated ride-on mower display! Good location for visiting many places of interest from the sands at Mablethorpe through to culture in Lincoln. Tasty meal at the pub in Willoughby, a small village boasting the birthplace of John Smith. Who? He founded settlements in North America and reputedly married Pocohontas in England. The road was quite busy but not intrusive. We would go there again.
