We stayed on this beautiful site for just 5 nights in August and wished it could have been longer. Even Storm Francis shaking us to sleep all night didn't detract from a great stay! The access, as others have said, is interesting - especially if you get it wrong like we did due to the 'Road Closed' sign at the expected access road because of roadworks near the bottom! It really is a spectacular site - the peace and quiet and the beauty of the view is breathtaking. Mrs May saw we'd got set up and came to introduce herself and was really helpful in letting us know where the dog friendly spots were locally - Crow Point is just a 10 min drive away, just round the corner from Saunton Sands and takes in a fabulous walk along the estuary out into the open sea......vast expanse of beach and sand dunes for dogs and children to roam, and even in the height of summer, no crowds...hurrah! Due to Covid, understandably there were no facilities open on the site but again, that didn't detract from our stay. I cannot recommend highly enough this lovely, well kept site and welcoming owner. We will definitely be returning next year.
