Weekend Break

Just spent a nice relaxing weekend here, showers and toilets good standard.Location very good for market town of Louth and the coast is nearby.Plenty of walks locally. The owners were around if you needed them but not too in your face which suites us personally. We only live 45minutes away but felt very relaxed after our stay and i think this was down to the ambience of the site, as they say a little gem, i'm sure we will return.

Ideal site

Lovely cl in the heart of a tiny village.  Quiet and peaceful and entertainment from the free ranging chickens!  Good cycling country within easy reach of the Lincolnshire coast and the Wolds.  Spotless facilities.  Would recommend a visit.

Peaceful and Interesting

Very welcoming on arrival, being given choice of pitch. Pitched overlooking field and enjoyed seeing muntjac deer with youngster on field at dusk. The chickens also kept us entertained with their antics. In all a very relaxing place to stay, good for local sightseeing and pleasant owners. We will return.

Just perfect!!!

Just returned after almost a week on this site and we wanted to add our compliments to those already here. The site is just as described in the book. Easy to find, an arrivals board told us where to pitch, no fussy rules that had all vans pointing in a certain direction!! The facilities were in good order and we will definitely be returning.

This is the second time we have used Richard & Judith's site. This time we brought the two younger grandchildren (for which there is no charge) for a week. Excellent clean tidy and friendly site. we had a week of bliss with fantastic weather, plenty of places to visit in the location either east to the coast or inland to Lincoln, Woodhall Spar is a Gem with its open air Lido and the Kinema in the woods. I would recommend this site to any one. Oh and don't forget the chickens they keep the younger kids entertained following them around.

Perfect get away

We have just returned home from a brilliant weekend at west view. The site is lovely, the directions given found the site easily. On arrival we were shown the pitches available from the owner. We were told where everything was, and throughout the weekend felt if we needed they were there to help. The site is immaculate, with a lovely shower room and separate loo. Recycling of rubbish was clearly marked. The site is so quiet, and the noise of a hen laying her egg just breaking the silence. It's a site that we cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed the site and will be returning.

West View a hidden gem

We have just returned from a lovely five night stay at West View. This is a charming and peaceful little CL with nice level pitches, easy access and plenty of local walks plus a dog walk field. We were on pitch 4 and a chap already on the site advised us to pitch broadways on to take advantage of the south facing aspect. We had our awning facing the field and were blessed with sunny mornings for our brekky in the awning. The owners, Mr and Mrs Nicholson are friendly but not obtrsusive which was fine. We had "The Girls" as regular visitors (Hens) and took delight in feeding them. The site has all facilities and two toilet/washrooms, one with a shower. I took advantage of these ablutions while the good lady used the onboard washroom, thus not getting under each others feet! There isn't much in the village but Grimoldby, a mile away has a good shop. The coast is only about 10 miles away (head for Theddlethorpe beach). If you don't know the area follow the coast road down from Mablethorpe. There are numerous tracks leading to the sand dunes and beach. Alford is a pretty place with a good market and plenty of eating places, likewise Louth. The site also has a B & B and a self catering cottage, handy if you have non caravanning friends whom want to holiday with you. we shall return Su and Dave Worksop Nott's

Excellent site

Stayed for three nights last week and found this to be an excellent site. Quiet, clean and well maintained. Plenty of dog walking options locally and the market town of Louth just up the road. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet rural location and we hope to return in the near future.
