This site has amazing countryside views, in a great location. We were treated to regular sightings of the resident Barn Owl flying very close to the vans. However the facilities are not good enough. There is one combined loo/shower and although it states this is not exclusive we didn’t realise that it was used by the occupiers of the industrial units on the farm. The block is also cold with inadequate heating - the fan heater didn’t seem to be working. The grass had not been cut, meaning it was a walk through long grass to the wildlife pond and the grass around the site had also not been maintained. Sad to leave a negative review as the owners were very friendly and helpful.

Many thanks for your review and we are pleased that you found the CL owners helpful and the location superb. The CL owners have been in touch as they wish to address your concerns as they work hard to ensure people have the best possible time on their site. The toilet is shown as non-exclusive so they are sorry you were disappointed with this. They are transparent about the situation and the toilet is actually only shared with a handful of users on the few units they have. These units are rented out mainly to part-time hobbyists and car tinkerers. They are a very friendly bunch and often help guests on the site by offering advice of things to do and where to go in the local area. They don’t use the shower, just the toilets, and this is mostly only during the day, from 9am to 5pm. The CL owners have checked the fan heater and it is still fully operational. There is a pull switch to turn it on and off and a knob for the heat setting. During your stay unfortunately, the CL owner’s ride-on mower had broken down (a drive belt snapped) and they had difficulty getting a correct spare part as it is quite old. The mower was out of action for just over a week, but at that time of year the grass shoots up very quickly. Consequently, over a period of 10 days the site and the path to the pool became a little overgrown. The matter has now been rectified and please be assured this is not the norm on this CL Site.
So happy to have spent a few days at Weston House CL, we didn't want to return home. This lovely CL is set in Shropshire's beautiful countryside, offering views of woodland and farmland. The environmental projects of wildlife pond and bird friendly grassland ensure that there is something to see at all times - the wagtails and swallows kept us very well entertained. The site is well laid out, ensuring that campers can enjoy full advantage of the view. The facilities are well kept and scrupulously clean. Lesley (the owner) has provided a library of leaflets which direct the visitor to many places of interest, supplementing her own knowledge of the area. The towns of Brignorth, Much Wenlock and Church Stretton are within easy reach, as is the County Town of Shrewsbury. So, within a short drive are shops large and small, multinationals and farm shops too. The directions to the site are clear and accurate. the entrance is wide and well signposted, with a good run off from the road so that there is no inconvenience to other motorists. We had a wonderful few days and will return. Thanks Lesley, enjoy the rest of your season
