Ease of arrival/welcome

A beautiful site, spoilt by poor customer service.

The CL is in a beautiful area with lots to seelocally including   the Iron bridge museums and  several National Trust properties. 4 pitches have 3 paving slabs each side for the caravan wheels, not exactly hard standing but helpful. We found there was quite a lot of noise from the barns behind the site, even on Sunday. The toilet and shower were a bit basic with only cold water to the wash basin and an incredibly stiff button to push to make the shower work. Not exactly twinkly clean either. The notice suggesting you text 'clean' to the given mobile number wasn't much use either, as there is no O2 coverage in the area! It really could do with checking/ cleaning more regularly.  There is definitely no WiFi, though the Caravan Club website states otherwise and it would have been helpful if Lesley had explained this when she arrived, very promptly to collect our money.   Could be a lovely site with  proper attention to detail but this was sadly lacking from our experience.
