Lovely panoramic views

We had a last minute short weekend break at White house farm and had a very quiet and restful stay. The paddock area reserved for caravans and motor homes was well maintained and very quiet. We had the whole area to ourselves. I am not sure why as it is a lovely spot. I can only think that it is a new CL and still a bit of a hidden gem. There are stunning views all around and we enjoyed two nights of beautiful sunsets and a full moon. There are lots of places to go and walk straight from the farm so it is ideal for dogs. It is a short drive to West haddon where The Pytchley pub does excellent food. There are 3 pubs in West Haddon and I believe some take away food shops and more pubs in Long Buckby. We didn’t eat out on this trip but have been to The Pytchley on other occasions. We haven’t tried any in Long Buckby so can’t comment. It was easy to access the farm although perhaps a sign pointing into the field you drive through would be helpful as you don’t notice that there is a track to drive on in the field almost until you turn into it, which confused us a little. The site owner was very welcoming and gave us some local information and some eggs from the farm which were very tasty. There is a farm shop. We didn’t use it but the site owner told us you could purchase eggs and honey. The site also had some holiday lets which could be handy if meeting others who don’t have a van or motorhome. It was quite a long way to the bin which was not an issue for us but others may prefer one be provided closer to the caravan area as being in a small van requires lots of trips to the bin. Especially in wasp season. There is a recycling box next to the farm. This site would make a lovely stop over point to break up a longer journey as well as an ideal place to retreat to away from the noise and crowds of towns and cities. We had a lovely stay and will be keen to revisit often.
