This was our first time to a CL site and our first time off grid, we wanted somewhere close to try a weekend without electricity hook up as we are not set up for off grid caravanning. No solar panels or generators. The site was well located just off the motorway, so would make a good stop over for people travelling the M6, last mile and a half there to the site is a single track road, but nothing to worry about plenty of passing spaces and not a lot of traffic. Entrance into site was a little tight but we managed with a 25ft caravan, the field is quite small with a small pond, also located by a canal. The facilities on site comprised of 2 bins, drinking water tap, and a point to empty chemical waste. The field was quite level, we found we didn't need any ramps. It was quite peaceful although there was some road noise from the motorway. The owner of the site was very helpful and friendly telling us about local eating establishments and things in and around the area, He even came back on the Sunday we were leaving to see if we needed any help getting off pitch. Also 20 minutes walk along the canal is a lovely little pub which does very nice food. All in all a lovely stay and will be returning again in the near future.
