Unexpectedly stunning site

We were not expecting such a beautiful tree surrounded site in the flats of Lincolnshire, but it was wonderful. Owners were so lovely;warm on arrival, and later gave our young son some sweetcorn to feed the resident friendly hens, which was so sweet. Site is stunning, feels like a woodland glade, little pond and a choice of flat enough pitches for our van without any ramps. Choice of hookups and good access to drinking water. I think we will visit again!

Great site and very quiet

Site located down a single track road. Need to make sure you don't miss the entrance! This is a great CL site. We stayed for two nights. Easy drive to coast and the likes of Boston and Spalding. Site spacious and within the owners grounds. Owner greeted us on arrival and explained where things were and said to help ourselves to the apples - there were loads! Ground was fairly level so easy pitching up. We had the pick of the site as only family booked on that weekend. For us this site was ideal. It was quiet and close enough to the places we needed to go. Highly recommended and will be returning.

A Hidden Gem

Our first outing of the year for a 4 night break and we were in no way disappointed with this little gem of a site. The weather was indeed an added bonus and the site was a sun trap being sheltered on all sides. The site was spacious with lots of room for the caravan, awning and our "dog garden". Electric hook up and plenty of water points. Extremely peaceful and tranquil and surrounded by countryside. Easy access to Skegness (20 mins), Ingoldmells, Boston (20 mins) and Spalding. Dog friendly beach for our dogs to the North of Skegness. indeed an added bonus of this site was the dog field. A full acre enclosed which the site owner was more than happy to let us use for our 3 dogs. An abundance of wildlife kept us entertained especially the moorhen family on the pond. We will definitely use this site again and fully recommend for a peaceful getaway. Excellent price and very welcoming owners.

Quiet & Relaxing

This site was so peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed after a stressful working week! The site owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful; on arrival they met us and told us the best area to pitch - right next to the lake. We have a rescue greyhound that we have been unable to let off the lead, but they allowed us to use a large fenced in field for the dog to run around in. We certainly didn't want to leave - and we will be returning in the very near future. A site that is a hidden gem!

Quietest Site ever

Spent one night on our way to Sutton on Sea, met by owners on arrival and directed to pitch. Water available close by and waste disposal easy to use. If you want peace and quiet this is the site, hardly a car passed by during the day and the night was absolutely silent with no light pollution whatsoever. Toilet needs updating but owner did point this out on arrival but as we use our own this was not a problem. Would recommend for dogs walkers as you can leave the site and actually walk on the road as traffic is rare.Owners helpful and knowledgeable, would recommend to couples who just require a peaceful break

My truthful review.

Fantastic. Owners very friendly. Very well kept site. Great for a peaceful holiday. Lots of electric hook-ups and water taps, so you can be well-spaced out. Toilet a bonus on a CL. Great for access to RSPB Freiston and Gibralter Point. Great meal at the Castle Inn.

What a cracking site!

We read the previous reviews and decided to give this site a try - thank goodness we did! Our aim was to spend some days chilling with our books and this site was everything we hoped for. The CL offers many places to pitch up and even if you had neighbours chances are you wouldn't see them! There is a huge variety of shrubs and trees in and around the site. Wildlife abounds outside your caravan too - fish in the pond, moor hens, rabbits and a barn owl to name but a few! We took a ride into Boston on Wednesday (market day) and stopped for lunch in The Castle at Haltoft End on the way back - 2 course lunch was £6.45! - a good portion and very tasty. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. This is a cracking site and deserves a visit - we will return.

Willow Farm

Please give this CL a chance! We stayed here in May 2015, very peacful, great for wildlife and central to Boston or Skegness. There is a bus stop at the end of the road although we didn't use it. Grass was cut and very tidy throughout the grounds. The owner was very helpful when needed, we arrived on a wet day. All i will say is our motorhome/his tractor was a good combination. My fault, there is hard ground within the CL, i would suggest walking around before you enter, unlike us! Thoroughly recommended for the money!

Can't believe it

Stayed on this site on 19 July.  We stayed on the site due to previous reviews and have to say I can't believe we arrived at the same place.  Yes the site is very large but grass hadn't been cut for probably 2 or 3 weeks.  The toilet had more wildlife in it than was outside, it didn't look as if it had been spring cleaned since 1953!  The whole area could have done with a great deal of TLC.  The drop down from the road to the site could be a problem for some outfits if wet.  I hate to say never but it is very unlikely we would stay again.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are really sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. The CL Owner has been in touch with The Club as they are very concerned about your comments and that you did not enjoy your stay at their site. They would like to reassure you that the grass is normally regularly maintained, however, on your stay the owners had been having issues with the ride on lawnmower and as such were waiting for the relevant parts to arrive in order to repair it, which meant that they could not tend to the grass as they would normally. As you can see from previous reviews the site is normally well looked after, in a superb location and at just £9 per night offers members superb value for a peaceful stay in the countryside. I hope this helps address your concerns and again thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review.
