Just what we needed

Have just returned from this site where we really enjoyed our stay. Being busy we had no choice of pitch but were more than happy with the one available. The views over the surrounding farm land were lovely, we sat many an hour just gazing over the fields. As previously reviewed the entrance is wide but the drive up is very full of pot holes and on entering where the pitches were the caravan bottomed on the uneven incline, beware. No one came to greet us so we just got on with setting up. Later in the day the daughter came to the next van and when I enquired about payment she said there was no rush!!!! I paid anyway. After that no one came to us for the rest of our stay. During the course of the week the area of ground in front of the pitches was mown twice with the mower delivering all the mowings directly up to the front of the awning so meaning we were treading grass cuttings into the caravan. As the grass cuttings were 'spewed' out from just one side of the mower with a little thought they could have been directed away from the pitches. Also, there was a broad strip of long grass to the front of the pitches which was mown with a big noisy farm mower and subsequently turned over for two consecutive days to make hay. Eventually they came along with a bailer and bailed all the hay. This was very interesting to watch but unfortunate for us it was noisy hence only 4 for peace and quiet. We appreciate that these jobs have to be done but I cannot remember reading anywhere that it was a working farm. Despite all this we would certainly go back if we are ever in that area again.
