Ease of arrival/welcome

Worst CL we have ever stayed on and we have stayed on CL's for years.

On arrival we were greeted by the owner who seemed quite a nice fellow and told where we could pitch our motorhome after we had paid him, he pointed at a dirty hosepipe on the ground and stated that is your drinking water, we declined the kind offer of his filthy hosepipe and used our own food grade hosepipe to fill up our water tank, the entrance to the site was overgrown and tress scraped along the side of our motorhome as we entered the CL, the pitches were all overgrown, the site was full of old building rubbish and scrap metal, there were no rubbish bins, the chemical toilet disposal point looked like it had never been cleaned and you had to negotiate around yet more building rubbish to access it, the owners dog was running freely so we had to leave our little dog inside the motorhome the entire time, behind the pitches was a skip full of manure (I expect country smells when staying on a farm but do not expect to be pitched adjacent to approx 10 tonnes of steaming manure). This could be a nice CL but I think the owner has taken his eye off the ball and let it go.
