We have visited this site on quite a few occasions, though not in winter months. The staff are always polite and we have enjoyed walks around the golf club. There is only one toilet and shower, which is usually adequate. The shower is spacious and water hot and the room nice and warm. Sad to say we encountered some problems this visit. Firstly 3 of the 4 security lights weren't working. Neither was the light outside the toilet, this being down steps was a safety concern. The site is next to the M62 service station and a public footpath runs behind the pitches next to the services, so easy pickings for thieves. We had our large gas bottle stolen and neighbouring caravanner said his car had been trashed once when he left it in the car park. Manager says lights will be sorted this week, which would help (though two caravanners told us they have been reported in the past but nothing rectified). Hope things improve.
