Ease of arrival/welcome

Glorious!

We were greeted by one of the winter wardens on arrival, who were occupying most of the hardstanding area themselves, so we managed to get the van across the grassy field without causing any damage to the grass. Thereafter we left the car on the hardstanding each night. The large paddock has plenty of space so I doubt would feel crowded even when full, we were the only ones there in late February so had the place to ourselves, apart from the wardens, who were there to keep an eye on dear old Jack, and a motorhome positioned to the front of the bungalow, off the CL section. There is no view as such due to the high hedges, and a faint amount of traffic noise from the main road several hundred yards away, but very tranquil generally and a lovely spot to stay. My wife tells me the toilet was absolutely spotless although I didn't use it myself. Jack has been running CL's for over 50 years apparently and is famous within the Club. The garden of the bungalow featured several home-made weather vanes in the shape of Spitfires, it was that type of place, and we would not hesitate to return at any time!
