Super Dog Friendly Site - Beautiful Location

We only stayed for one night, due to us wanting to be close by to an event we were participating in on the Sunday. But what an absolute gem of a place, an enclosed pet friendly field too. The pitches are slightly sloping but there's loads of room for you to position in the most suitable way for your unit, plus they have blocks if you need them. The shower & toilet were absolutely spotless & hot water available on demand. If you want dark skies at night, bright sunny mornings with wonderful views this is a great place to stay. Although we didn't venture far, we know the area fairly well, with walks & pretty villages in abundance, we will definitely return in the future for a longer stay - thank you so much for making us feel very welcome.

Great Site

Just returned from spending New Year at Woldsway. Site is located down single track road to the farm which really gives you a sense of being away from it all, even visited by the local Barn Owl. Easy access through a double gate, site is sloping but plenty of blocks around to level up even in a large twin axle. Nice open views across the site. New toilet and shower are superb, plenty of room inside and spotlessly clean. Julie is a great host and is always around if you need her, regularly exercising her dogs. The yard light on her house provides enough light to get round the site in the dark without being too obtrusive, a great idea. Goodmanham Arms is a great local pub with its own brewery, quirky and homely with large open fires and beer is cheap too, a great atmosphere. Great site and we will definitely return

Wonderful Site

We have now been to this site a number of times and each time everything has been perfect (maybe the weather could have been better on occasion). The site itself is immaculate, the shower/toilet facilities are the best we've seen on a certified site and I don't think you would be able to find a site that is more peaceful. The surrounding countryside and villages are beautiful with plentiful individual shops and lovely pubs/restaurants.

Great CL

What a lovely CL so very well kept , the shower and toilet are spotless . Stunning scenery and Julie is really welcoming. Great CL if you have dogs nice pub in Goodmanham dogs are allowed in on a night when they're not serving food. This CL is probably the best value for money ever , highly recommend.

Simply The Best

We just love this site it is quiet and peaceful with good views all around. The site owner Julie is very friendly and helpful, she loves dogs so yours will always be made welcome. The site itself is clean and well presented and the new shower/toilet facilities are perfect. In order for it to be so quiet and peaceful you do need to take your car out if you want to visit places but there are lovely dog walks roundabout and you can walk to the Goodmanham Arms (excellent food) plus a small cafe (open weekends) in the village. Market Weighton is only 5 minutes drive away and here you will find a number of pubs and restaurants plus a selection of shops.

Lovely site

This site is a little off the beaten track and the sign could be easy to miss but it is a lovely place. The grass was cut it looks very clean and tidy. warm welcome from Julie and she had a bag of local information for us to look at. Julia is very dog friendly( she fosters springers) so our dog was made welcome and as there was only one other van ( also with a dog ) on the site our dog was allowed to play off lead. The site is all fenced in and very safe. There is no limit as to how many dogs you can bring. It is very peaceful and well kept site.

Peace with a capital P

We arrived for a weekend break.Ten days later we left fully rested and relaxed. We could not stop wondering at the fantastic views and tranquility of the area.Although you need to use the car to access the walks, the roads are quiet and the verges wide making it possible to walk straight from the site if you so wish. For dog owners I'll quote a fellow caravanner " My dog thinks it is in springer heaven." The site owner could not be more helpful and we will certainly return.

ONE OF THE BEST

We sometimes visit a site where others have said it's quiet, only to discover there is road noise. This site really is quiet. One of the best sites we have used in sixteen years. Watching the dogs being exercised in the field was just lovely. I can only agree with all the previous reviews. Thank you Julie for your warm welcome and well done on creating such a fantastic site.

Excellent

Excellent CL that we should all be grateful to the lovely owner for allowing us to enjoy such beautiful countryside. The caravan club is made richer by having access to such locations. Sloping to the south with huge skies and distant views, a real gem. Only opened a year ago I sincerely hope enough people visit to ensure this CL remains viable so we may all enjoy it for many years to come. Deserted country lanes span out in all directions with a prize of quality restaurants or pubs in sleepy villages. The neatest pub, 5 minutes away, is an absolute star! Micro brewery in the garage, I can honestly say best beer (porter 5.6%) I have ever had. You simply must visit, very rare. Was recently identified as one of top 20 pubs in the country, I agree!

Lovely

We stayed here for a quick stopover to Whitby.  We were met by the lovely and very helpful Julie. Site is easy to find down a long farm track.  Recycling facilities nicely marked on site.  You will require levelling blocks.  Walking you will need to get into your car as not a lot near site.  It was lovely and peaceful would return to sit and read and enjoy the quiet. She also supports a dog rescue centre and you can see the dogs exercising in the adjacent field.
