Woodlands CL is amazing, without doubt the best we have stayed on. The site is immaculate, clean, tidy and very well cared for. We liked it so much we extended our stay for another week. Perfectly located for so many of Somerset’s wonderful attractions. There is a bus stop within 5 minute walk, timetables on display in the facilities. Extremely dog friendly with the most accommodating dog area, totally enclosed and very clean. There is a shower and toilet (unisex) always clean and tidy, and the Wi-Fi is an added bonus. We would 100% stay here the next time we venture down to Somerset! Thank you for a brilliant holiday.
Peaceful and tranquil
We have just spent a great few days at this immaculate site. Easy access to Wells, Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare by public transport. Welcoming, friendly owners. One of the best CLs we’ve stayed on!

What a wonderful Cl site.
What a lovely Cl site run by Kathy and Jo. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights at the end of April, the site is gently sloping but the hard standings are flat and level. there are two enclosures, the lower one Ideal for dog owners as a fenced off area dog exercising area is in the far corner. On arrival Kathy was very welcoming and told us to chose any hard standing we wished, top or bottom enclosure. The toilet and shower were spotless as was the undercover toilet waste disposal area. Jo kept the grass well cut and was very helpful in suggesting places to visit. Wells and Cheddar Gorge were only a few miles away. Thank you very much Kathy and Jo for a lovely 5 day stay we cannot wait for our next visit. Mike and Sue PAUL

Highly recommended “what a gem”
Excellent CL, we had a 4 night stay in our caravan and despite arriving in the dark, Joe couldn’t have been more helpful to get us set up on our pitch.
Pitches are hard standing and grass and plenty of room.
Very peaceful, stunning views, excellent facilities, toilet, shower lovely and clean, if fact whole site excellently maintained.
Dog walk area, fenced off, ideal to let your dog off lead and run around.
Site was easy to find and great location for exploring surrounding area. Wells, 5 min drive, Cheddar George about 20 mins.
Kathy’s advice and tips for places to visit/eat extremely helpful, Sunday lunch at The Ring or Bells in Wookey, was one of them, so glad we took her advice, best pub Sunday lunch we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended and the view from Deerleap view point, amazing views, thank you Kathy.
Thank you both for your hospitality, your site is one on the list to definitely come back to again.

Very well kept CL site
We stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of October and would certainly return! The site is 2 fields in fact with hardstanding pitches for 5 in the first field and another field below which is on a slope on one side of the field. Jo was out mowing the grass as we arrived and was extremely helpful helping us to site the caravan in the second field. We had a super view over the hills and it was an extremely quiet spot. The owners had recently fenced off a corner of the field for dogs which was an excellent idea and would recommend a bench to sit on whilst the dogs ran around to make it even more perfect! It is an ideal location to explore Wells and Cheddar Gorge - we just ran out of time. Although near a road I wasn't aware of any noise as the fields are slightly lower than the road. Entrance was easy to turn into and clearly signposted with a flag pole and flag. If you want more seclusion book the 2nd field, if you don't mind being nearer to your neighbours book the field with hardstanding pitches. Thank you Kathy & Joe for a lovely few days away.

Peace and relaxation at its best
Received a very warm and friendly welcome from Kathy and Joe at their beautifully kept, easy access site which, being just over the lip of the hill, has no road noise at all. Nothing was too much trouble..From my hardstanding pitch for 4 nights there were lovely views onto the hills which had well-marked walking trails. Couple of good local hostelries and loads of information from Kathy & Joe, as well as on their website and from other reviews, regarding the many attractions within just a few miles. Wookey Hole with currently a spooky, self-guided tour and Glastonbury town & Tor a must. The tariff for the site’s quality and location in such an outstanding area is, I feel, very reasonable. Looking forward to my next and longer visit.
Just spent two weeks at this beautiful immaculate site
What a beautiful well run site with Cathy and Joe being perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, set in beautiful countryside will certainly be visiting again

A great stay
We loved our two night stay on this very well organised site. We were welcomed on arrival firstly by Kathy and later by Joe. We has a choice of pitch. Lovely toilet and shower facility too. We walked to Ebbor Gorge from the site. Great views from the Mendip Hills towards Glastonbury. Visited Wells which is a short drive away. Glastonbury food market - fab eats. From Glastonbury we biked along the Bittern Trail to Avalon Marshes RSPB centre. We walked Cheddar Gorge too. All a short distance from the site. Kathy also keeps a stock of locally produced wine from Perch Hill in her fridge. We bought a bottle and really enjoyed it.
Couldn't fault our stay. Lovely! Thank you!
A good site
We stayed at Woodlands during early September in good weather. As others write, the site is immaculately cared for by welcoming and friendly hosts. There are currently two fields. The top one has hard standing pitches which are on a slope. In this field is the toilet and shower. The lower field is recently opened and has grassed pitches. Most pitches are on uneven ground although there are a couple of flat ones but which don’t have the bst views. The site is generally quiet although there are occasional cars that pass along a track to a stables. Outside the entrance gate is a main road that has an excellent bus service to glorious Wells and other towns. A good site that I’d readily commend although at £22 per night it is expensive for a CL.
A very welcoming, peaceful site.
We have just spent a very relaxing 4 days at this lovely CL. We had a very warm welcome from Joe and Kathy when we arrived. They have improved this site enormously since our last visit 8 years ago, and have now installed decent roads and hardstandings. Your caravan/motorhome pitches on the hardstanding, but your awning will be on grass. Or if you prefer to be on a grass pitch, these are also available, Although the site is directly off a main road, because it is down in a slight valley there is very little road noise. The whole site is kept in immaculate condition, and they have even installed a brand new dog walk area for members use.
We will certainly be back for another relaxing break. Thank you Kathy and Joe.
