Just had another wonderful stay at Woody Kiln CL !! Our 4 th visit and have booked to return in 2025. We love the site - it is tranquil , a beautiful setting , maintained to such a high standard - all the fields and grassy areas around the pitches are impeccable and it is the perfect location to explore Pembrokeshire. Despite visiting so many times there is still a long list of places we haven’t yet explored !! This summer we went to Marloes - a beautiful coastal walk with a NT car park and delightful cafe adjacent to a sunflower and corn field , we visted Colby NT woodland gardens which were gorgeous , we walked along the Cleddau River starting at Haverfordwest West and saw so many birds including Egrets and Cormorants , Portgain an attractive small port and coastal walk was lovely with a fabulous cafe called The Shed and Caerfai Beach near St David’s which was beautiful and dog friendly . New to us this year was the Mountain Farm Sunflower field near Broadhaven. Dog friendly and only £5 which includes 5 sunflowers which you pick yourself using the secateurs provided !! The field was just stunning and views over towards Broadhaven amazing !! One of our favourite things about Woody Kiln is the beautiful walk down to the local beach at Sandy Haven. There is a very comprehensive information pack provided when you arrive which shows you the various routes but we love the cross country one. The views are spectacular and the beach is just so beautiful and very quiet. Our 2 little dogs love exploring the rock pools and Sandy beach. There is so much to see including horses , sheep , beautiful birds and butterflies and pretty wild flowers. The sunsets here are incredible and you can just sit and watch them from your pitch. One night we had the most amazing red sun and pink sky !! Everything about the site is perfect and Dean and Sharon ( and Dean’s Dad ) the owners work tirelessly to maintain an exceptional service. Nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel so welcome. Each pitch is fully serviced and also provides a digital tv aerial and free high speed Wi-Fi. The EHU is metered but a very generous 10 units a day is included - we used around half that. Highly recommend this idyllic little haven and can’t wait to return next year. !!
