Having read many positive reviews we decided to give Wortley Hall a try. Location is good with access to walks and the village with its coffee shop, pub(limited opening times) farm shop ( also limited opening hours) Pitches are on the small side but ok for us as we have a small motorhome but anything large would struggle. Also the pitches are sloping you will definitely need ramps. Pitches are allocated to you when you arrive at the hotel reception, you need a key to unlock a gate into the site, it’s a pain as the gate has dropped and you need a little force to get the lock off and on. I’m not sure why it needs to be locked. Shower is clean and well lit and a short walk from the site. Generally a nice site in grounds of an old historic hotel, the gardens are looking a little shabby but that’s understandable after the year we’ve had. I much prefer a CL to a club site and this one is definitely a revisit in the future.
