very disappointed

Just returned home early we booked a week and stayed for 4 nights we contacted the owner before booking to ask them about the fishing and he assured us he had fishing on site after traveling over 100 miles to the site we were met by the lady owner who told us they had a pond but it had no fish in it. The whole site as well as the pond were very run down and everything very overgrown and looks nothing like the photographs. Their was a £1 charge per shower that is not mentioned in the charges. The lane to the site is very narrow with passing places for around 2 miles. We were the only people on site in August and i think that speaks volumes.

Comment from the Club:

The CL Owner has been in touch as they work incredibly hard to ensure everyone has a wonderful stay. The CL Site has a wildflower meadow growing around the pitches, It has lots of butterflies, bees, and hedgehogs living in it. The CL has won an award from the Hedgehog Trust, and a barn owl is around at dusk so it's a wonderful place to visit if you love wildlife. The hedge can't be cut yet as it's against the law to cut the hedges until September. Please be advised there are fish in the pond but as mentioned to you, to catch fish in the pond you would have to get some worms. We hope this helps address any confusion.

Our C.L. as a wildflower meadow growing around the pitches, it attracts lots of butterflies bees, and Hedgehogs live in it, We have a award from the Hedgehog trust. I cant cut it until it has seeded, and against the law to cut the hedges until September. The fish in the pond only bite with worms.  Jan the inspector said two other C.L.s they visited were also empty. I cant make people stay here.
