First ever visit to Ayr Craigie Gardens site and unfortunately our last. Having recently visited Huntly Castle; Culloden Moor; Bunree and Lochside Forfar where we found the toilet block facilities on all four sites to be first class, it was extremely disappointing to find the facilities at Ayr to be of very poor condition. For the size of the site, to have only 4 shower cubicles which to say the least were very smelly (I would say down to bad drainage). Compared to the other sites mentioned Ayr needs major upgrading. Wardens found to be very helpful and pleasant, and the layout of the site good. Directions in the handbook on how to get to the site very good - just a pity that sign posts for the (all 5 sites visited) were so small that we missed a few and glad to do some turn backs!!
