Stayed here in early April and cose to stay on pitch 72 which is at the far end of the site and found it to be a quiet spot. Pleasant site with just a short walk alongside the river into Ayre. We were almost put off staying here due to some reviews saying Ayre being run down and lots of homeless people on the streets. We found the opposite, no homeless people and the town was no more run down than many other town’s and cities around the country. Everyone we met was very friendly and Ayre itself had some fabulous architecture, monument’s and a wealth of history. We would be more than happy to visit again and explore more of the surrounding area.
