we have stayed at this site many time the warden that are now in charge are very very helpful and do everything they can to make people feel welcome to the site they enjoyed our stay with them and also took the time to see and talk to us about our pets this site is wonderful and the Bristol council should understand that people come far and wide to visit this site and they spend money to help the Bristol economy the loss of this site would be a loss to Bristol and people reading my review should also mention that we all love the site and that we want it to remain as a caravan site for people travelling from this country and from all over Europe many people attend m any of the events held in Bristol and look forward to coming back time and time again the wardens do a marvellous job and they are always very busy please show your appreciation by leaving a review about how lovely these warden are we wish the warden all the very best and we are hoping to get back in next july we have pre-booked some of the weekend we want but are waiting for a few dates to become available id also like to say to the caravan club that on sites which are very popular it would be better if the awning pitches came after the non awning pitches as most people book on what is available as they come onto the site and many times they book an awning pitch and never use an awning this becomes annoying when there are people on the site that would have liked to have had an awning pitch but usually find they are all gone and in a lot of cases people who have booked on to them don't always have awnings so it may be something you may consider on sites which are popular it is in no way the warden fault it is that when people book on line they book the first avialble and in some cases they do not have an awning.

Sorry but it’s first come, first served with pitch booking. I’m very familiar with the booking page layout and, on the majority of sites, I choose to book an awning pitch because that’s what suits me even though I don’t have an awning.

I agree with the first reply to this missive.  It is first come, first served. How do you know that people on awning pitches have taken their awnings, but have decided not to erect them, due to circumstances beyond their control?  Bad weather, illness, only staying for one night and that was the only pitch they could book?  Have you ever asked them?  Try not to be too judgemental about your fellow campers ~ it’s so easy to assume things without really giving it some thought.  By the way, your lack of punctuation in your review left me breathless!  Phew!!
