Worth a visit

Firstly, beware of the railiway level crossing if driving to the site from the north on the A2100 (just after the A21 junction - take it slowly because there's a deceptive dip in the road. The road from Battle to the site is also a bit bumpy in places. The site is different to others we've visited as it seems sub-divided into smaller sections/cul-de-sacs - this gives a nice ambience but makes caravan manouvres more tricky on arrival.its worth knowing where you can/want to pitch before towing your caravan to it. The pitches seem a good size and those in our section were reasonably spaced and flat. There are a lot of trees/bushes so dependent on where you pitch, you may be in an open space or one with quite a bit of tree cover. The facilities we used were good and we never had to wait for loos/showers. Wifi coverage is poor though Our pitch was very quiet although this can always be affected by others pitched nearby The wardens were friendly and helpful and worked hard to keep the site and facilities in good shape Rye and Birling Gap are worth a visit. The seafronts at Bexhill and Eastbourne are nice too, Most of Hastings sadly has a run-down feel. There's a nice 1.25 mile walk into Catsfield although not much in the village apart from a decent pub.
