A Big Thank You to the wardens. Great site excellent in all respects,

I was unfortunate to witness abuse levelled at the warden during a time when the toilets were shut for cleaning. The member was not happy that the warden wouldn't open them, which was followed with foul insults bawled at the warden by the member. We have rules which we follow and recognize the need for cleanliness in the current climate with covid. Our wardens do a brilliant job and should be treated with respect and not pilloried by any member. Due to the rain my motorhome got stuck in a waterlogged grass patch, the warden went out of his way to assist and get me out of the mire, for which I am very grateful. I received great advice and help for the warden both at Bearsted and when he was at the Ferry Meadows site. In my view the site is well run and the warden first class. Thankyou.

In the interests of balance, this is the only site in the many we have visited which does not open an emergency toilet at cleaning times. I am not the caravanner referred to above and would never abuse the wardens who generally do an excellent job but I  did ask to use the disabled toilet during cleaning time. I received a very terse response advising that everyone had been told ALL the toilets would be closed between 10.30 and 12.00 - my wife who checked us in assured me this was not true in our case. We needed to make a 10 mile round trip to Tesco to find a Loo.
It would be so easy to adjust this strange policy by simply moving a few chains. I hope someone takes note.
