Good for families

Not a pleasant welcome

After quite a long journey on the M11, M25 and a busy M20 we arrived 25 minutes early at 12.35 to be greeted with a statements from the warden that face masks are compulsory as he husband has cancer and when I pointed out that wasn’t the case at other sites we had stayed on I was told all the other sites aren’t following the rules. Having stayed on a number of other sites and having read the club web site it requests you wear a mask but it isn’t compulsory. I was then subjected to a lecture on arrivals are after 1pm. Reception was open and I was booked in immediately as the site was extremely quiet yet the warden felt I needed a good dressing down once more. Having stayed her several times on route to France I can recommend it but not the welcome.

I think if you are told the person who runs the site has cancer, a bit more understanding and sympathy would not go amiss.

We were told the same thing on a recent visit there and, personally, I am happy to wear a mask if the person i am talking to is vulnerable.
