Two Night Stay Aug 2020

Good site well run Wardens are Friendly and Knowledgable. Site is located in a mixed residential housing estate but within easy and cycling distnace of Berwick. Main eastcoast rail line is behind site but as this line is electrified its very quiet in comparison to a diesel loco line. We found the site very quiet in comparison to other sites in the height of the holiday season. Whilst we there we opted to for a takeout from Foulis. 3 fish and chips and a 12inch pizza cost £31! Good sized portions of fish and chips but the pizza was a dissapointing ball of dough! Depending on your appetite a portion of fish and chips is enough for 2 people. The live seafood market had closed by the time we arrived btut the take out menu look appetising. It is worth noting that Monday is a non trading day in Berwick with several shops - that remain trading - closed for the day, as per 70's and 80's tradiition. Overall very much worth a visit. Lots of history and good walking. Site is excellent with good views in places.
