We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this site. It is an excellent location, we were able to go out for nice walks in the evening to the beach or around the immediate area. There is so much of interest in this part of the country to explore during the day. We loved the views from our caravan across the heritage buildings and out to sea. We live in the quiet Suffolk countryside and were not bothered at all by the trains. The noise passes in seconds and not once did we get woken in the night by a train, no problems whatsoever. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back again.
Not for us
Not our cup of tea at all, the pitches are too tightly packed in, and most people say it has a lovely view, well if you can ignore the tops of rows of houses before the water then I suppose so.
The trains are noisy and although they stopped for the evening, if you want to read in the afternoon I counted 9 trains in an hour, at one point 8 minutes between some.
We chose this site as a base to go to Bamburgh and Rosslyn chapel, now I wish we had stayed nearer to Rosslyn.
A nice promenade walk nearby but we won't be going back.

We love Berwick Seaview
We’ve stayed here before and fell in love with this site. It has lots of character and even though the trains pass by frequently you’ll be amazed how quickly you get used to them. The beach is a short walk from the site and there’s pathway too if you’d prefer to walk on a hard surface. Berwick is close by and and is a lovely little shopping area.
I must thank site manager Simon Congreve for his care and assistance when we had an upset through my dog being attacked by a loose dog on site. I needed to visit the infirmary too and my dog a vet. Simon insisted I go as initially I wasn’t going to but it turns out I did need to. He went above and beyond in looking after us and I also had a nice chat with Christian who is the other male warden who was very sympathetic. I never did get a chance to talk to the ladies but these two gentlemen are a credit to the club. Hope to see you again in September

A site with a view!
This was our second visit to the site and the first since the Pandemic. We had been put off visiting previously due to some reviews regarding train noise and location.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but when we first visited the site we extended our visit and would have been happy to have done so again. Need I say more.
True, the main railway line does run behind the site but in our experience they stop running overnight and we were exploring the area during the day so no issue for us. The view from most pitches are great overlooking the river Tweed to Berwick town itself. Spittal where the site is situated, is a quiet town with mixed housing with a good promenade ideal for a quick dog walk. Was very quiet when we were there despite being mid June and covering a weekend. The pub the Albion looks a bit shabby on the outside but friendly staff ,good beer and live music was available.
Walks to and around Berwick easy with the town about 20 minutes away. Good walk around the town walls and not to strenuous and you can also walk up the river on the Berwick side.
Facilities on the site are as usual spotless for CC sites.
There is no kids play area and possibly not great for riding bikes but the beach is close by.
We don't normally leave reviews but feel as others have commented don't be out off and give it a try yourselves. If you like walking it's a good place to visit. As you'll gather we will be back.

A great site in a great location. Perfect for exploring the Northumberland Coast
A real gem on the Northumberland coast. We had a warm welcome from the team who were very helpful throughout our stay. The site and the facilities were very well kept with spotless toilet and shower facilities. Shops nearby and some great restaurants in Berwick.
Great views but noisy
This campsite is lovely & is in a great location for the beach. Unfortunately we won’t be staying here again. We have a large motorhome & had to park next to the railway lines , they came past at least twice every hour & through the night, if that wasn’t enough you could also hear the church bells chime every hour . I am a light sleeper so after staying 1 night even though paying for 2, we left .
Lovely site, good location
This was our 2nd stay at this site after several years. We stayed for 5 nights. The site is well located for beaches and sight seeing. We have 2 dogs and it was an easy 10 min walk to the lovely Spittal beach and a half our walk to Berwick upon Tweed itself. Easy drive down to Bamburgh and Seahouses etc. We can’t agree with some other reviews as we didn’t find access a problem as we followed the club directions as advised on the website and not the satnav. Yes the site is narrow but the pitch sizes are fine, plenty room for full awning etc. And yes the railway passes along the top of the site. We were aware of the passing trains but not disturbed by them. The site and the facilities are well maintained and the views from most of the pitches are great. Don’t arrive before 1pm as as stated on your booking as you will be sent away. The wardens are not being pedantic, it’s because the access road is narrow. I spoke to a few motorhome owners who had to leave and find somewhere to park up until 1pm. We would happily return with our dogs for another stay on this site.
Nice little site
Stayed here for 2 nights while heading south and a further night when heading back North.
Its a lovely clean and tidy site in a nice location. Yes, there are frequent trains running past but they honestly don't cause a problem, we just naturally blanked them out.
The site staff are attentive and helpful…..although Im not sure if it was a fluke that after my run, when I went for a shower ten minutes before closing for cleaning time, the hot water suddenly ran out and they were in getting ready to clean…..did they turn the hot water off to get me out for 1030 on the button? Hmmm, the jurys out!!
The only minor niggle is that its quite a twisty little site and can be a bit awkward to get on and off you pitch when the site is full. Thank goodness for motor movers!
Also, the access/egress road is a bit steep….you can see from the gouges in the main road that numerous vehicles have damaged themselves and the road due to its angle of approach. We have a Volvo and pull a Swift Challenger Sport. We were OK going in but our ready steadies scraped on the way out.
Notwithstanding these minor issues, we will be back as its a nice little site!
What a great location
We have just returned from a weeks holiday on the site. Having read some reviews before our holiday, we did nearly cancel. However, we are so pleased we didn't.
Yes, the site is situated on a hillside and there are houses behind the site and the village of Spittal at the bottom of the hill, but the view across the estuary towards Berwick-upon-Tweed is to die for!!! There is no feeling of being surrounded by houses, and the village of Spittal is really quite nice.
The East Coast main line does run close to the site, but most trains are electric and after you have heard the first few, it is like everything else, you get used to them and they pale into insignificance.
The site wardens are friendly and helpful. You can see that they enjoy their roles as they keep the site pristine. The shower block and facilities was spotless, and the wardens checked them again towards the end of their working day.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is a 20 minute walk away and there are plenty of places to eat in the town. If you want to take the car out and about, Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is a 20 minute drive away and there are lots of other castles and sites on interest to see.
Take a ride to the villages of Etal, Ford and Heatherslaw. These three locations are chocolate box villages and there is a 15" gauge steam railway that runs along the river bank!
All in all, the site and the sights hit the spot!
We have booked for next year already!!!!
Would return
My husband and I with our 2 dogs and Mitzi motorhome stayed here for 3 nights. Yes there is a rail track running parallel to the site but personally didn't bother us. We stayed on pitch 67 top right in the corner, very private with seaviews. We have electric bikes so only 10 minutes across the bridge to town. Very clean facilities, warm welcome, beautiful beach 5 minute's walk, we would definitely return. Happy motorhomers 😃
