Great Site

We had been to the site before, but this year decided to spend a couple of weeks here. The location is great for visiting anywhere in Kent, each day we went to a different seaside. We went from Hastings to Whitstable and plenty of resorts in between - so many lovely places to see. Previously we had used the bus service to Folkestone/Canterbury, however due to Covid we decided to take the car. We found parking was fairly reasonable, and even found a free car park, close to Walmer Castle. Perfect for a walk along the beach either to Deal or to the Zutland Arms, Kingdsdown for a meal/drink (dog friendly - as seating outside). We would also recommend Samphire Hoe, just up the hill out of Dover - quirky little find. Sandwich also a must, beautiful medieval town. The shop across the road has supplies and newspapers and the owner is very friendly. We visited the Black Horse Farm for a couple of meals, outstanding food. Sadly they did not have a "proper ale". We also ordered a takeaway Sunday Roast from the White Horse Pub in Hawkinge, and a great Indian takeaway from Garam Mosala, both fabulous food. We ate much more in the caravan this year, due to Covid - but this did not put us off going away again. The staff are very friendly and professional. The only negative with the site was that I found myself on a few occasions bagging someone else's dog waste, in the Dog Walk! Nothing the staff can do about this, but think people let their dogs off leads and didn't watch where they went. Disappointing as only Caravan Club owners on site.
