Weekend away

Booked the site for convenience so that we could get our first service on our new caravan. The staff work very hard here to make your stay as good as possible. However there is no getting away from the traffic noise from the main road just over the fence.

Candyfloss and Kiss Me Quick

Just returned from a couple of days at this site and must say, it must have the easiest access I’ve come across, so far. The site is just around the corner from the end of the M55 and although this could be a problem for light sleepers due to the sounds of heavy goods vehicles in the area. The site itself is everything you would expect. It’s spotless with good size pitches, the facilities are excellent and the wardens welcoming and friendly. Out and about. The site is centrally located in easy reach of the attractions of Blackpool, Lytham, St Anne’s and Fleetwood all of which are worthy of a visit. A bus service is available in the vicinity of the site, however, the nearest bus stop (just five minutes’ walk from the site) has only a limited service (No 14) to Blackpool centre or Fleetwood in the early morning and late afternoon, it’s worth reading the bus information carefully in the site information cabin. A better alternative is to catch the 14 or a range of other buses at Mereside Tesco a five minute drive away, as buses run every 10 minutes from there. We parked in the car park all day without a problem, there were no signs that parking was restricted or payment was required so is free and the buses leave from the car park. If you’re tempted to participate in a fish and chip supper during your stay, try ‘The Cottage’ check out, cottagefishandchips.co.uk, the food was excellent and reasonable priced. If you’re considering a trip to Blackpool, Blackpool South Club site is worth a visit.

First time towing.

Only live 20 miles away, but the good roads to the site made this a good choice for first time campers. The site is serviced by a friendly team of wardens, who keep the site in pristine order. My partner is recovering from a knee replacement, so the disability bathroom suite was very welcome. I just wish that the weather had been better. We will return.

Great base for exploring the area

I have stayed at this site many times and always found it clean and well kept. The wardens are friendly and helpful. This site is a great base from which to explore the area, Lytham, Fleetwood, Preston etc. All are worth a visit. Blackpool itself has something for everyone and you'll never be stuck for something to do. I would recommend a visit to this area and this site .

Outstanding!

The staff extremely helpful, were very understanding about arriving late due to Easter traffic.  we had a choice of pitches when we arrived and chose a perfect one for our little boys. We were right by the park and was able to let them play while I watched from the awning. The facilities were very clean. Also lovely toddler bathroom which was very handy for us.  Only negative, although out of sites control, is the noise at night from the boy racers. But we got used to it.  It hasn't put me off and will return to the site

Short stay

Arrived on Tuesday and stayed until Thursday. The lady in reception on arrival was very friendly and welcoming. I had the choice of lots of pitches although as I arrived with friends we wanted 3 together, which wasn't a problem. Washing facilities up to the usual clean caravan club standard. Would have liked to have stay longer. Will definitely try to return in the not too distant future.

First time in Blackpool!

We visited this site for the first time and despite the unpredictable weather by far the best club site we have stayed on.  The wardens were great and nothing was too much trouble even helped me pitch the van as my other half is expecting child number three. Road noise at night from idiot boy racers but that isn't the sites fault. Very clean and when some inconsiderate woman walking three dogs didn't clean up after then in outlet pitch the warden did. Some people are so inconsiderate. Simple to get to if you follow the directions on the site. Pizza Hut delivers to it despite the site just being out of their area. A great experience staying there and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommend this site to anyone with a young family as it is very safe for the kids and well liked after and clean round the clock!

Visited 26th March 2016

Lovely site peaceful easy access toilet and shower block spotless and warm. Great site for visiting Blackpool and surrounding areas.  Site was full over Easter but you would never have known as pitches are large with plenty of space in between them. Will definitely be returning.
