We have just swopped our Bailey Pegasus and tow car for a Coachman Olympia and. Korando. This visit was to sort both out. We arrived in the middle of storm Hanna, got welcomed by the duty warden, pitched and got soaked. Left all my shoes at home save a pair of slippers. Wardens were brilliant, even delivering the barrier key in the howling gale. Not much to add about the facilities but this was our first outing and we noticed the price increases. Why? Seems to us that it’s been reasonable for the last few years but the big boss has wielded the big stick. Lots of things to do in the area. Buxton and Bakewell are very dog friendly, the Roaches over the way from the site has some hard walks but a few are manageable for wrinklies like us. Tittesworth reservoir has good flat walks. Great area to explore. The staff are brilliant, can’t say it enough.
