A Little Gem!

It is no wonder that this site is so popular as it is easy to find, very picturesque and in a great location, especially if you like wildlife and walking. The toilet block is very central so most of the pitches are not too far away, unless you are in the "dip" but even then it is not that far. There is an adequate fenced dog walk where you can let your dog off the lead, with 2 entrances so you can go in one entrance and exit out the other. if you walk out of the site and down the slope towards the Strid and follow the sign to Barden Bridge, (which is about three quarters of a mile there and back to the site) there is a sign to tell you where you can let your dog off the lead and if you walk under Barden Bridge you can walk to a another bridge a little further on, cross over and walk back along the other side. It is around 4 and a half miles for a circular walk the other way around the Strid and back. There are many established trees on site which makes it very attractive but on most pitches you will get the sun for at least part of the day and for all day on some pitches. The Wardens seem very helpful and friendly and unlike some sites, there is not the almost persistent noise of grass cutting and strimming for much of the day.
