We stayed mid October on a serviced pitch and had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Pitch was allocated on arrival, but we were very happy with it; it had well defined edges but plenty large enough to erect awning. Hard standing however extremely difficult to get pegs in, even with a hammer drill. Cars are mostly parked in front of van, but there is plenty of room. As the site is terraced, with hedges and small trees, the views were great and it felt quite private. As we are still shielding as best as we can, we used our own facilities. Elsan point was spotless. We don’t have a dog, but enjoyed going round the dog walk, through woodland, down to a river and across fields. Didn’t meet a soul, so definitely not crowded and enjoyable for non-dog people. The site is close to all the Jurassic coast beaches, 20 minutes to our favourite in Charmouth. A lovely time to visit, not crowded at all, neither on the beaches nor on site. Staff friendly and helpful, we were allowed a late checkout, too. My partner says next time he’ll try an 18V SDS drill for the pegs!
