Good for families

good location for visiting Dorset

We recently stayed at this site, and found it very pleasant. We visited most of the AONB, including Golden Cap, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, and lots of other beautiful places. The dog walk is fantastic, we wish other sites had the same, plenty of routes to give our dog variety whilst staying for 6 nights. Liked the little hedges between some pitches, it made it feel quite private. We found the instructions to the site easy to follow, although some reviews, prior to our booking, made it sound complicated. It was not. Google street view if unsure. Toilet facilities were clean, didn’t like the fact they were unisex, but it’s not a problem, as the block near reception are individual cubicles. We have our own bathroom in the caravan, and I’m sure most caravans and motor homes do as well, so I’m perplexed as to why a lot of people feel the need to use the sites showers, and expect a full spa experience, when they could use their own facilities. We only use site toilets for the one thing most of us do once a day, for everything else, we use our own bathroom. And with Covid restrictions, we are encouraged by the club, to use our own facilities. Pitch sizes adequate, our 27 feet long, 8 feet wide Swift fitted no problem, with our pick up of 17 and a half feet, fitting nicely in front of the caravan. The movers worked on the gravel, and the pitch we were on was up an incline. All in all a conveniently placed site for visiting Dorset, and we will return.
