A real find. We really enjoyed this site on a short stay at the end of October, even though he weather was very mixed. No problems if you don the waterproofs. Pros: Very friendly and approachable wardens; Lots of walks straight from site; Also close to Bridport,West Bay and the coast; Quiet and peaceful; Trees and hedges improve the appearance of the site and avoid long uniform arrays of vans; Cons: Pitches are allocated due to differences in size - OK for us on this occasion as we were happy with our pitch, and we have a small van; However, some vans are really too big for the site. Opposite us a member with a monster RV vehicle chose to drive over and churn up the grass on our pitch causing ruts; We are grandparents but don't see why we have to put up with other people's children coming from pitches on other parts of the site and skidding down the hills on their bikes and riding at way over 5mph. It's dangerous for them as they could not stop if they came across an outfit as well as being annoying. Nevertheless we are looking at when we can return in 2021. Understand from the warden that some limited alterations/refurbishment may take place over the closed season. All of us just need to remember to behave responsibly and show consideration for fellow members.
