Lovely site

We have just returned home after spending 9 nights at Bridport Bingham Grange. This was our second long stay at this site in a year. The site is located a few hundred metres from the main road, so has easy access, but far enough away for no traffic noise. The site layout has not yet been updated, so some pitches are not used, as they are too small for modern pitch sizes, so are used for adjacent pitch car parking. When the site is upgraded by the CAMC, I am sure all the pitches will be to a suitable size and also there will be a new toilet block. It would be great if the majority of the existing trees and hedges can be kept. There are some lovely countryside views from the site and a good dog walk and beautiful walks from the site, especially down by the river. The toilets and showers were fine, but not to the standard on most club sites. The site is located a short drive from Bridport and West Bay and we visited both lovely places many times, along with the mostly sandy beach at Charmouth, with it’s famous fossil hunting. We changed our pitch after the first day, as it was very tightly spaced to put up our awning (pitch 37). The wardens, Diane and David were extremely friendly and accommodating, so we moved to pitch 140 on the lower part of the site, which was a lovely spot, looking down the valley towards the woods. The site is not perfect, but it has a lovely character, which is not always evident on all sites, so overall, I rate the site as 9/10.
