Overnight stopover

We only had 1 night here and were allocated a pitch on arrival. This was fairly level gravel and on the edge of the top part of the site with good views. The hedging on one side of the pitch made it more private and provided some grass space but some other pitches looked rather small and a bit cramped in. Our pitch was under an oak tree which was dropping acorns on our motorhome all night! We used 2 out of the 3 types of bathrooms, both clean. One of these was modern with large overhead shower, the other was probably once the mens as it had 2 urinals, separate toilet cubicles and a separate shower, but is currently used as unisex for 1 person. Both our showers in the latter type of bathroom were lukewarm only. A wristband system is being used. The walk from the bottom of the site through the woods by the river onto the public footpath is very pleasant although some information about the route in the check in info would have been useful. The approach to the site on the A3066 is quite narrow and we missed the entrance. Some earlier indication of the turn off would be useful. This site was the most expensive of our tour round Devon and we didn't think it was worth the extra cost.
