A great base for exploring the area

We spent 8 nights here during the Easter break (2023). The site is basic with a large open plan field or wooded area to choose from re pitches. Plenty of water and waste sites littered around the site and there is a communal Boules pitch available for use. We got a great pitch near to the water and N/S facing so we had the Sun on the awning all day. The site is lovely and quiet and is well located for exploring. We were able to get to Brighton, Hasting, Eastbourne and a great many National Trust properties in the are with ease (all within around 30 mins drive). The water pressure is about the only thing we found to be a little frustrating as it did take around 6-7 minutes to fill an Aqua Roll. That said we never found ourselves in a queue and knowing it took a while we simply enjoyed the peace and tranquillity as we waited :).

Peaceful stay

I love these 'no facilities' sites! Why pay for things I am not going to use? I admit it is not everybody who wants to use their onboard facilities but for those of us who do, these sites are perfect and being a solo caravanner they often work out cheaper than a CL. Broomfield Farm site is a little gem with plenty of space and a good choice of pitches. The area is good for walking, visiting National Trust properties or the beaches of the South Coast. I managed all three in my stay despite the weather being less than spring like. I will certainly return.

Little Gem

First time at this site and it didn’t disappoint. I love these simple sites with no toilet block and wish the club had more as I always use my on board facilities so don’t want to pay for things I won’t use. Plenty of room with a choice of open area or amongst the trees. Despite poor weather I had a very pleasant stay and the site is well placed for countryside or coast.

Amazingly peaceful - you won't be disappointed

We spent 2 nights here this last bank holiday weekend. A wonderful location in the countryside & absolutely no road noise could be heard in the location at all. A real escape from the area we live in. No facilities other than chemical waste, water & electricity, but lots of service areas & bins. Why pay a premium for a washblock when you have it all to hand in your wagon? A beautiful public footpath walk to Chiddingly with a lovely pub. I loved this site & would not hesitate to return in the future.

Boules tournament

Spent weekend at this site , it was the annual boules match and a raffle for charity. What a friendly happy bunch , laughter and stop to chat . Site well kept . Quiet and relaxing . All for £17 a night can’t be bad .

Lovely site but careful on the narrow roads

Had a couple of nights here in a lovely secluded woodland pitch. Would definitely come again, especially at only £17/night. Obviously there is a reason for the low price - no toilet block, but actually not a big problem for a self contained unit. One comment about the motorhome service point - it wasn’t easy to get our grey water outlet over the drain, as the drain is in the middle of the pad! Also, it was a pity we chose the weekend of “chiddfest” which apparently is an attempt by some raucous types to prevent anyone within five miles of Chiddingly getting any sleep before midnight. However, that’s something that neither the very helpful wardens or the club would be able to do anything about!

A place for Adventures

We stayed for four nights on this well kept site, the choice was between beautiful shaded woodland or open, sunny, spacious pitches facing the green. Walks directly from the site, plenty to do and see locally.

Jubilee weekend

We went to Broomfield farm for a couple of nights over the jubilee weekend, and loved how peaceful it was, and how friendly the check in was, a lovely lady booked us in, very friendly, and made to feel relaxed, we had pitch 42, which was huge, cooked pizza in our pizza oven, and just relaxed, On the sat we went and got involved in the jubilee celebrations, toast to the Queen, raffle, and laughs with strangers, was really good, Highly recommended

SJubilee

Celebrated the weekend jubilee, everyone joined in with the celebrations, a friendly group some were touring and some are seasonals. Grass mowed and looked very neat and colourful, flowers around the office colourful. Steve and Kaye were kept busy with arrivals as the site was full. Most tourers I spoke to said they visit often and it’s easy to see why. With plenty to see in the area whether you are looking for countryside or visiting the seaside. Ideal for walking with the South Downs close by. There is a village shop and 2 public houses both about 2/3 miles away , a pizza van calls in the village . You need your own facilities on this site as no toilet/shower block . You get the feeling of space as there is a green area left in the middle of the meadow or a wooded area which has an abundance of wildlife and gives shade . This site is good value and peaceful even when full. People new to the site said definitely they will use a lot more and such friendly helpful site managers make for a happy stay.

Peaceful Sussex Retreat

This is a peaceful quiet site in the Sussex countryside with two different area's for touring. The first area is the open pitches are the perimeter, these are grass and hardstandings, the good thing about this the centre area is kept free,so it does give the impression of space. The second area is a lovely wooded glade with pitches set into the woodland. There appear to be seasonal pitches in use. This is a minimum facility site with no toilet block, this just adds to the peace and quiet of the site. Now the site approach,I have visited a few years ago and prepared, the actual length of the narrow section is under two miles, and it does narrow to single lane at Holdcroft Lane, the turn here could be easy to miss, and one of these turns which has the triangular grass section,in the middle,so care required here, once through this it does open out more. Stalkers lane is quite uneven,so you will have to keep your speed down. But this really is a lovely site, with a couple of country pubs within walking distance, all for £17.00 fixed price, which is cheaper than some CL's..When you look at the value of this site gives it cannot be faulted.
