Location, location, location!

This site has long been on my ‘bucket list’ and certainly didn’t disappoint on our recent 5 night stay. The location is spectacular in all weathers, and we experienced most! The views across and down Loch Linnhe will keep you spellbound throughout your visit. It is true to say that the ‘without awning’ pitches along the shore line give an uninterrupted view but if you wish to use an awning the elevated back row pitches look out over the rest of the site and benefit from some shelter from the hill behind. We encountered no problems with our awning despite 30-40 mph gusts during a particularly wet and windy 24 hours. All facilities are of the usual high standard and the wardens are both friendly and helpful. The single track entry/exit presents no problem due to the controlling traffic lights. We enjoyed a wonderful day’s drive, crossing via the Coran Ferry to the Sunart and Moidart districts on our way to Malaig. Driving by car on largely on single-track roads we encountered very little traffic and enjoyed fantastic views in very varied countryside. Returning the ‘quick’ way via Fort William rounded off a great day out. Try it! On a more general note, we found dog owners to be quite considerate by and large though it seems that it has become almost compulsory these days to own at least 3 dogs if you are a Club member!
