Stayed for 5 Nights in August - booked late and was surprised to get a pitch - our 2nd site on our Peak District 3 week tour - we nearly cancelled the others to stay here! What a picturesque location - we pitched up to face the cliffs and did not put our Windscreen cover on so we could see the view and the lights on the cliffs during the evening - then pulled our blind across. Great walk through woods down to Buxton Town and we did the walk back but feel some may find it too much. We had all weather - but sunshine or rain the walking and views were wonderful and Buxton Park was lovely to just sit and while away the time. Site itself was very clean, tidy and we loved all the little insect areas around the site. Wardens were very helpful with walking routes. Again - our first taste of Buxton - we will definitely be returning.
