Peaceful and relaxing

A site I really like for its nice peaceful setting. There is a nice pub at the end of the service road on the main road. The hidden gem here is Traeth Bychan beach, about a mile or so away. The beach has lovely views and is clean and unspoilt. There is also a cafe (only opens weekends out of main season). The beach is on the coastal path and has a pay and display car park with a toilet block. You can also launch a boat here if you have one using the concrete slipway. We walk to the beach from the site, although you need a reasonable fitness level, especially for the way back which is mostly uphill! There is no toilet block at the site, so you will need your own. Disposal of chemical waste is provided, plus the usual standpipes for drinking water etc. Another nice feature is that there is a small red squirrel population. Didn't see any on our last trip, but we did on our previous visit. Most of the pitches are quite flat, with an odd one that will require the use of levelling blocks. About 40 - 50% of piches are grass, the rest hardstanding. Nothing much for children here, a better site for just adults. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
