Good for families

Good base for touring

We used this site as a base for walking the South West Coast Path. The site is within walking distance of Camelford and small supermarkets of Coop and Londis. The latter also has a fuel forecourt. The 95 bus service (Bude to Truro) passes close to the site and there are a number of taxi firms if required. Truro and Padstow are within comfortable driving times The signage for the site is not clear and vigilance is needed if the turn into the site access road is not to be missed. The site is very open with a limited number of hard standings. We were there for the heavy rain and strong winds of May 2021 and found that the grass pitches held up well. The facilities are a little old but all are in good working order and spotlessly maintained. Very limited room for ball games and no playground mean that the site is not ideal for family looking for a long stay option. We stayed for fourteen nights and would use the site in the future.
