Fantastic site!!

I visited this site for the second year running in mid July. It is a fabulous place, and very peacful, with great facilities, which are keep spotlessly clean. The pitches are on sandy grass, right beside the beach, mainly level, but take ramps with you, as some fiddling about can be required. The views from the beach are lovely, and a walk along there before bedtime is a must. I walked towards the river at the end of the beach one evening, and was rewarded by the site of 2 otters playing at the mouth of the river...amazing!! The gentleman who i assumed was the warden....but i think is actually the owner (Colin?) is super helpful and friendly. My advice would be to take plenty of supplies with you, as the shop in Carradale village is very poor, with only basic items really.....and when are they going to clean up the "scrapyard" at the harbour....it really brings down that bit. We ate in the Carradale Hotel one evening.....fabulous food at good prices....service was a bit slow.....but we were on holiday, so what the heck!! I can't wait to go back to the Carradale Bay Site....if you're looking for somewhere to chillout......it's here!!!
