We’ve been visiting this site for 10 years now, our favourite site. We were concerned that the covid rules would change things but for us our holiday was just as enjoyable as ever. Simple rules in place which everyone followed. Unfortunately on arrival we joined the queue at the bottom of the hill, it took an over an hour for us to get to the top, we were told the card machine had gone wrong (not the staffs fault) names were taken and membership cards and we were told to go back in an hour to pay and let them know which pitch we were on. Not quite sure why it took so long. We chose pitch 14 and began setting up, we noticed a lady with a dog then stood in pitch 16, approx 30 mins later her motor home arrived, she had clearly got out of it in the queue and walked up and was saving the pitch, this was so unfair as several outfits drove around trying to find a pitch!! Site was very busy. Plus signage clearly stated that while waiting please stay in your vehicle and also the staff on the barrier said there was no reserved pitches. We have witnessed this before over the years and feel it’s very selfish of others to do this, not quite sure what can be done about this though. Wardens doing an amazing job as always.
