OK so this was ably assisted by relatively mild and very dry weather :-) October half term we booked Carsington partly because we'd not been before and partly hoping that we would be able to use the reservoir park to do some outdoors stuff. On arrive the site staff were very friendly, although we did struggle to find a pitch that our 7.8m Bailey would fit onto, made worse by trying to get 2 pitches close together with friends. In the end we were told the caravan would fit on 121, but it actually stuck out by about 18" into the driveway. Since that was a small loop part of the site it wasn't a significant issue but was a worry in the dark. The site was beautifully clean, has kids play areas and some woods the kids can get lost in. Being a short walk or cycle from Carsington water, it was perfect. I will go back again (when I can get all 4 bikes into the car and caravan)
