Just back from Carsington. Check in is becoming more fraught largely because every site has a variation on a theme. Some guessing is involved. Anyway, we took the bikes and instead of circling the reservoir we took a route through Bradbourne and on to the Tissington Trail. Ride down to Asbourne and back to the site through Kniveton. A really pretty route. quite hilly but worth it. The site is fine but we have stopped using Shower blocks etc as we don't like the queuing and rubber bands etc. Just use your own facilities and have a great time!
