We stayed here for the May half term holidays with our six year old daughter and five month old son, having stayed for a weekend last year we knew how beautiful it is here. The site facilities are modern and clean, with plenty of showers not to have to queue. The dog walk is one of the most picturesque of any site I’ve been to . Wardens very friendly and helpful. We like that there are areas of the site for everyone, the top being quiet and peaceful and more suitable for couples wanting to get away from it all. As a young family we have specific needs and were pleased that we were able to pitch next to the park where we could watch our daughter play all day and make so many friends. Obviously this forfeits some of the peace and quiet but it’s lovely to hear children enjoying the outdoors and they aren’t bothering those that want a more secluded pitch. The site feels smaller then it is because the pitches are nestled in clearings of trees Carsington Water Visitor Centre in close proximity, also well located to explore beautiful Derbyshire. Booked again for next year!
