Stayed at Carsington for 3 nights over the October half term. The site is really close the cycle / walking tracks around the water which is pleasant but be warned if you have children under 8 Yrs, ideally the would need a bike with gears as there are some steep inclines / declines on the track. The cafe at the visitor centre served great food also. The site itself was immaculate, the shower/toilet blocks were in great condition and the team on site were friendly. Park was great for kids with our daughter spending most of her time at the site playing with other children. Would recommend if you want to get away from it all for a few days.
