Our first time to Carsington Water but hopefully not our last. A great location within walking distance of Carsington Water, the cafe in the visitor centre is a must as the cakes are amazing! Great facilities on site, and the nice touch of the radio playing whilst your in there! Although I imagine if you're up at the top end of site you would have a trek to use them. Whilst we was there the weather was atrocious with snow and heavy rain and whilst the site was struggling our pitch soon recovered after a few hours of dry weather. We made use of an onsite Pizza van on Easter Sunday which made for a nice change and were great, and not expensive. Great site, Great Wardens and Great Location, what more can you ask for?
