This was our first time on this site...we were not disappointed. It is very handy for Castleton and Hope. The site was very clean. The toilet block impeccably so. We do not have children so are unsure if there even were facilities for them. Thanks to the very helpful wardens who managed to get us an extra night and thanks also to the lady warden who advised us to leave at 12.30 as we were moving on to Chatsworth...her timing was just right as we arrived at Chatsworth at 1pm! Our dog enjoyed his time at Castleton. The dog walk is small and lead only but there are walks nearby even for older dogs as ours is. He kept wanting to go back into the Pub where we ate for a lie down. All the pubs appeared to be dog friendly and some of the shops too. It is a pity we live so far away from Castleton as it would be a great weekend break. Thanks again to the friendly wardens.
