Great site, great location

Stayed here for three nights in August, but wish we'd booked for longer. The site is on the outskirts of Castleton Village, five minutes walk from the neared pub and 10 from the farthest (of six!). It's a small site but appears smaller due to partitioning by trees, by which it's surrounded. We were on a serviced pitch which, on this site, is a small separate area again. Our pitch was far from the road, so we weren't bothered at all by road noise. We arrived in heinous weather and endured more during our stay, but the pitch shrugged it off easily. But once the rain cleared we were met with beautiful views of Lose Hill and Mam Tor (along which we had an excellent trek). Facilities are as spotless as I've come to expect, and the village is superbly picturesque with most pubs dog-friendly. It also has the usual range of gift and tourist-tat shops, along with a lovely delicatessen/bakery which seems to sell everything one might want. On the opposite side of the valley from Mam Tor, the picturesque ruins of Peveril Castle overlook the village. We were smitten by the area and by the site, and want to return as soon as holidays allow.
